It’s important to understand the difference between romantic fantasy and fantasy romance. In fantasy romance, the main plot is the romance, and follows all the expectations of romance, i.e., HEAs or HFNs. Romantic fantasy has a larger overarching fantasy plot that isn’t centered on the romance, but has a strong romantic subplot. Romantic fantasies may or may not follow the normal expectations of romance. While my books are romantic fantasy instead of traditional romance, each story does have an HEA… at some point :)
